New Abdulla and Clarke’s FRCR Physics Notes released

The 4th edition of FRCR Physics Notes was released on Monday 27th April 2026.

We have been working tirelessly over many years on this latest update. The book has been renamed ‘Abdulla and Clarke’s FRCR Physics Notes and is available in hardback for the first time.

This fourth edition includes new illustrations, added sections, corrections, and removal of content no longer relevent to the FRCR physics exam. The appendix was also removed to shorten the length of the book. This edition has undergone strict critique and evaluation by physicists to provide an accurate, understandable and up-to-date resource.

Many thanks to the team of radiologists who worked hard on updating the FRCR Physics Notes, in particular two new editors: Dr Matthew Stephens and Dr Claire Gillon.

A big thank you also to the chapter authors: Dr Emily Thornber, Dr Neha Kallam, Dr Emma Watura, Dr Jordan Colman, and Kenneth O’Dowd.

This was no small feat and we are very excited to share this.

Aimed at UK radiology trainees, it is also suitable for international residents taking similar examinations, postgraduate medical physics students and radiographers. The notes provide an excellent overview for anyone interested in the physics of radiology or just refreshing their knowledge..

We would love your feedback on this new 4th edition

Ideally we would love you to leave feedback on Amazon, however please also feel free to get in touch via the contact us page. We look forward to hearing from you and we hope you love this latest update to our notes!
